Andy started in the band scene in early eighties playing drums in a new romantic band ‘Wing of a dream’ then progressed on to playing guitar in a country and western duo towards the middle of the eighties. 1987 was the turning point when Andy joined up with a workmate and formed the ‘The rock steady blues band’ and discovered that Clapton’s style of blues and rock was the way ahead. Family issues then forced a 7 year lay off and well a divorce soon sorted it out and then off again into the jam scene. Being a bit rusty on the guitar by this time and not enough bass players jamming off he went. For a short while got involved with a couple of blues bands ‘house of blue lights’ then ‘Dump the chump’. Soon approached by Rainbow Bridge and well… Sorted!
